Quick Overview

It builds in the glass quite beautifully. It seems juicy and free-flowing at first but gradually the strings pull tighter. Garden herbs, boysenberries, cloves and red cherries, the balance between its various aspects pitched just so well. It tastes as though it’s hardly trying but that’s what it wants you to think. It’s a savoury shiraz done very well; it’s going to improve over time rather than merely holding; it’s buoyant and succulent and things like that. 93+ points.

Product Description

"You like Yarra Valley shiraz? Here’s a belter. It is a ‘must buy’ if this is your thing.

Giant Steps have stopped putting prices on their media samples so I don’t know the price. But I do know however that it saw 100% whole bunches and saw only 10% new oak. It was grown on the Sexton and Tarraford blocks.

Vibrant purple colour with crimson-red edges. Cloves and red licorice hover above a bright mix of black and red berries. It's incredibly intense when sipped. Concentrated, raspberry liqueur and black cherries, the tannins are supple, oak beautifully measured. A sensational young wine - fruit as pristine as you could wish for.
