Pale metallic copper flecked with pink/purple. The nose shows perfumed candy, raspberry, strawberry and cream with delicate citrus notes. The palate shows light red sweet fruits with clean, citrusy acidity. Soft, delicate mineral finish - as grape to glass as you can get. Perfect for Mediterranean and spicy cuisine. Drink now or up to 3 years.
Learn MoreThe palate is long and tasty with a tannic finish that is vitally important to balance the wine richness and make it best suited to drinking with food.
Sarsaparilla, jasmine and lavender, red fruits, crushed black spice and tea leaf with suggestions of turned earth, meat and rocks. Bright but balanced acidity, minimal oak interference and very fine tannin. The architecture is intricate and fascinating. 92 Very Good" Wine Will Eat Itself
A simply excellent example of tasty young Tempranillo, with cola, spice and a little bacon bone complexity; the palate is lively and fine, zesty and long, and while easy drinking, has plenty of backbone and structure; trophy Riverina Wine Show. 95 points James Halliday.
Learn MoreExceptional cabernet from the Great Southern. So deep and dark in the glass. The aroma is pure concentrated cabernet essence showing such power and finesse. The palate has excellent structure with grainy tannins and fine grained oak supporting the opulent rich cabernet. Will keep on improving. – 96 Points Ray Jordan. WA Wine Guide 2013
Learn MoreDeep straw colour, with a pale green hue. An intense combination of cashew, butter, honeycomb and stone fruit characters. Medium palate weight with a rich and creamy texture. Peach and nectarine fruit flavours are perfectly complimented by toasted nuts, honey and a persistent and flavoursome finish.
Learn MoreThe oak is background cedar which will reduce further as the fruits emerge with some bottle age. This vineyard consistently produces intense fleshy and full mid palate Cabernet with massive fruit weight with dark cherry and blackcurrant flavours. At the time of writing the wine is very youthful and tight but it still has ample fruit sweetness that will only become more accessible as the wine matures in bottle. This is a big full wine with ample flavour and concentration in the classic Margaret River tradition.
Learn MoreMade by the unflappable Javier Murua. Almost entirely tempranillo but co-fermented with a smidge of grenache. Sees a small portion of old French and American oak. Elegant yet characterful and then punchy through the finish. Has structure. Has a big dry finish. Licorice and cherry and twiggy sinewy almost-bitter notes. Chicory too. A grunty wine. Will be a handy drinking option through the cooler months. Like it. 90 points Winefront
Learn MoreNatural yeast, barrel ferment, partial malo, lots of lees stirring. Delamere is a key wine estate of the Tamar Valley region, with densely planted vineyards (in Australian terms). Tour de force complexity. Smoke, peach, matchsticks, ripe lemon, nuts. Pours it on. Big aromatics and big flavour, though long and chalky / minerally through the finish. Fantastic length. Quite thrilling. Brilliant. 94+ points Campbell Mattinson Winefront.com.au
Rating: 96 James Halliday, Wine of the Week! ..... Bright straw-green; a seductive and delicious wine that fills and caresses the mouth in way that is not in the Tasmanian mainstream, thanks to the absence of strident acidity. There is a creamy/nutty aspect to the white peach fruit from the barrel fermentation that adds to the expression of that fruit on the long, fine palate.
