The colour is deep red. The palate is full and complex, medium bodied. The wine is elegant and distinctive, displaying characters of berry fruit and plumb, accompanied by cherry spice characters. Supported by spicy oak complexity the tannins are balanced and complement the mouthfilling flavour. The wine has great vibrancy and poise which are evident on the long seamless finish.
The colour is a deep inky purple. There is lifted dark fruits, cedary oak and some perfume from the Petit Verdot on the nose. The palate is rich, ripe and full bodied. Th¬e wine is bursting with flavours of blackcurrant, plums and Christmas pudding. Th¬e supporting oak has dark chocolate and vanilla essence. The tannins are chalky but complement the wine to give it great mouthfeel and length of fruit and oak flavours.
This wine is a 52/24/18/3/3% blend of cabernet sauvignon, malbec, cabernet franc, merlot and petit verdot that spent 13 months in 85% French and 15% American oak. Crimson-purple, the wine with remarkable intensity and drive to its blackcurrant, plum and licorice flavours that magically ascend on the finish.
