Quick Overview

Likely I won’t make any new friends by saying it, but most Australian red wine under $15 is kind of gross. Well, maybe not gross, but often they try too hard: too much cheap oak, sweetness, acid adjustment, high alcohol etc. etc. all at the expense of basic drinkability.
Blueberry and mixed berries, wild herbs and nuts with a little chocolate. Medium bodied, light tannin with some grainy grip , balanced acidity and a nutty faintly perfumed herbal finish. Great mid-week drinking. Balance and value.
Can’t recommend it highly enough. 90 points Gary Walsh Winefront.com.au

Product Description

This inexpensive French wine is produced from fruit (95% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Merlot) sourced from the Languedoc region of Southern France. "Modern" winemaking methods are employed following complete de-stemming and cool fermentation, with an aim of achieving a balance between "new world fruit" and "old world tannins". This is quite a remarkable value French Cabernet Sauvignon displaying ripe, varietal fruit flavours and intensity, all at a bargain price.

A modern and very drinkable that retains the aromatics, complexity and structure that makes Cabernet Sauvignon the national wine of France.

Aromas of ripe red berries, surrounded by varietal notes of forest herbs and black olives. The palate is medium bodied with
blackcurrant and raspberry flavours framed by soft tannins. Enjoy this vibrant red wine in its youth with a range of richly flavoured meat dishes.
