Distinctive varietal flavours that mingle effortlessly to culminate in a wine of delicious mouth feel and sublime texture. In this wine, McLaren Vale’s fruit drive is given additional finesse and structure by the Chardonnay from the Adelaide Hills.
Learn MoreWe were so loud and unruly by the end of the second course that it was hard to hear the call to arms over at the grill. We finally made our way joyfully to the chef to gather our juicy chorizo and an astounding salad of flame-roasted red peppers, beetroot, rocket and shaved manchego. The wine was the BK 2011 Syrah Nouveau, a bright, rustic, medium-bodied vin de pays-style wine. On the nose the wine was pungent and lively; on the palate it was ripe berries and cinnamon sticks. If we opened one bottle we must have hazily opened six. Stuart Robinson ~ thevinsomniac.com
Learn MoreGood intensity here. Really fresh and perfumed. Inviting. Textural. Almost chewy. Rose petals and green apples. Stonefruity power to the mid palate. Chalky finish. Has that ‘desperate for shellfish’ quality. Tending towards brineyness. Perfumed aftertaste. Very good – drinking and buying. 90 points WInefront.com.au

These characters intensify on the palate, opening with a fresh, upfront acidity of grapefruit and lime which provides an amazing backbone for the enticing flavours of green passionfruit, savoury herb scones, hints of spiced sourdough and a lovely lime sorbet sweetness. The structure is tight, directing these incredible flavours right to the back of your palate, leaving you with a crisp, clean finish showing just a hint of elegantly toasted French oak spice.
Learn MoreBeautiful nose that is at once complex yet integrated, and its hard to pull yourself away from it to taste. It starts out with a touch of apricot from the Viognier, which soon moves over into limes, almond, pear, melon and much more. Balanced, intense, as fresh as a daisy, and totally delicious with a whisp of fine tannins on the finish. Wonderful stuff! the auswine panel
Learn MoreJust like biting into a fresh pear, more Nashi than other varieties, slightly chilled of course. Crisp and fine.
Surprisingly soft considering the zingy start and following tight finish. The fresh acidity coupled with an enticing spice quality through the back-end of the palate make this a really interesting but refreshing.
