A little bottle of deliciousness. I don't score, but if I did, I'd give this 96/100. Rating: 96 Points; Winsor Dobbin, Wine of the Week, January 2013.
... an extremely luscious brandy snap, cumquat, nut and tea palate. This is seriously old material; 375 ml; Rating: 94 Points; James Halliday
... it's refreshingly vibrant, balanced and without any hint of cloying sweetness. Rating: 96 Points; Tyson Stelzer; Wine Taste

One of the Barossa's greatest gifts is its unique collection of fortified port and sherry style wines. This 30 year old (average age) pedro ximinez is sensational, essentially an amontillado sherry with emerging nutty, caramel, apricot and raisin characters, bergamot and racy acidity remaining. Rating 5 stars Tony Love

Subtle white flower/vanilla bean perfume, fennel, stones, and mixed citrus (including tangerine) leads you in to a wine of immediate appeal and character. It’s lean and kind of bony, but delivers a lovely crunch of citrus, zinging but fine acidity, and a fine talc-like texture, which lends a lovely grip to the wine. Yum. Will cellar surely, I’d imagine."

The mature Gulley View vineyard, on red loamy clay over limestone, historically supplied Leo Buring, maker of countless outstanding Rieslings in the past. The fruit is hand picked, whole-bunch pressed, fermented with a mix of indigenous and inoculated yeast and raised in stainless tanks. Crammed with mouth filling texture, stone fruit and apple notes and waterfall fresh acidity, this wine is not at all typically Clare in style; Col halts the ferment with around 7-8g/l residual sugar to balance the site's searing acidity. Just north of 200 cases of the scintillating 2016; what are you waiting for, people? Breakfast in bed?

"The potency of these wines to develop gracefully over time is a feature, as is their complexity with maturity. World class - combines floral, stone fruit and citrus flavours." Robert Geddes, Master of Wine, Author, Australian Wine Vintages
Freycinet is quite a remarkable winery. Hit after hit.  This has body and complexity but it's the length through the finish that really impresses. It tastes of green herbs, red apples, grapefruit and spice and even in its youth it keeps you dodging and weaving to catch all that's going on. 94 points Winefront.com.au

So much flavour and intensity packed into a wine of just 11% alcohol. Lemon and lime leaf, slate, spice and flowers. It’s all go. Chalky and juicy, bursts through the mouth, and finishes long with a tussle between lemon sherbet and dry flinty texture. Bang on the money.

"I'm really liking the 2016 Rieslings from South Australia. This wine had been opened two days earlier (I’ve been away) and my wife reliably informs me that it’s much better now. I trust her judgement entirely. Girls are most often better at tasting wine than men, though they seem to lack the ‘Train Spotter’ gene which is responsible for the sometimes obsessive collector mentality found in many males. Offered as a broad generalisation/observation, of course.

Beautiful perfume here – blossoms, lime and green apple – leading into a lean yet curiously flavoursome palate featuring a fine acidity, and very appealing slate and brick dust texture. Super length, finishing with a real lemonade tang (the intensity of flavour meant here, rather than sweetness). Smashing."

This Riesling couldn't be anymore youthful - it's one of the first bottled 2015 South Australian whites I've had. It's already looking a treat too, water green in colour with aromatics that you can smell halfway across the room.
    Love that joyful fruit.
Underneath there is some post-ferment banana esters, a little peachy juiciness and then a very dry edge underneath. It's fruit, not acid, motivated, with a smashable combination of gooseberry and nectarine fruit without tipping into flab. Off-dry, though it never feels awfully sweet, a trick that should be commended.
Drink this young and savour the taste of delicious fruit (like I do).

Flavour with the face of elegance. A pure expression of region and variety, as if they were one and the same. Lemon and lime, some florals, some talc, some texture. Easy-does-it, and yet there’s more than enough intensity here. For drinking, for keeping, it’s up to you.

This is a good release. Lemon and kaffir lime leaf, baby oil/mineral, and maybe a bit of spice. It’s light, flavoursome and zesty to taste – lemon barley and lime – juicy driving acidity and the subtle sweetness of Bickford’s lime in the aftertaste. Slight chalkiness and bitterness from phenolics. Crunch and drive. Hard to go wrong here. 92 points Winefront.com.au

The purity and the sheer deliciousness of the citrus flavours on offer here deserve a mention in the dictionary beside the word: gorgeous."

It's all Granny smith and Nashi pear juice and crunch, with a lineal acid structure that takes no prisoners. In the very long term - like fifteen years - it'll become an elegant and winsome thing for the hardcore Riesling aficionado. Right now, it's a testy bridge too far for the serious clarified cider perve who's intending to find their way into a new level of gastronomic intelligence. But cross that bridge happily, and you're a goner: a Riesling obsessive for life. Elegant, tight, crunchy, unforgiving and bracing. The wine I mean. But watch yourself! Fresh Coffin Bay oysters please. 93++ Points Phillip White

The Pewsey Vale Riesling is a rich and intensely flavoured wine. Classic fruit aromas of talcum, crushed stone and limes, with a hint of overlaying dried herb. The palate shows great length and depth with lemons and limes. The wine finishes with a soft but fresh natural acidity which balances the flavour intensity and a minerality that will reward medium to long-term cellaring.

Free-run juice was cool-fermented, finishing with a pH of 2.94, explaining the minerally acidity that forms the backdrop for a wine of great fruit intensity and persistence, citrus in the vanguard, a wisp of fresh-cut apple in the rear. Top stuff, with a guaranteed future. Great value. 95 points James Halliday

Beautiful pure and pretty thing this is, all white flowers and bath product perfume, sweet citrus and a suggestion of pie apple. Classic Clare: Tim Adams Clare Valley Riesling 2016 - What a time to be aliveTim Adams Clare Valley Riesling 2016 It’s amazing to think that white wine of this calibre still sells for just $22/bottle. What a time to be alive. This is classic Clare Riesling too. Intense lime juice on the nose backed by a, tangy, but not hard, limey palate that is surprisingly full given the low alcohol. Lots of mid-palate flesh. Curiously there is a hole in the back end, a flat spot before the citrus acidity kicks in, but that could just be a product of serious youth. Another solid release.
More than solid, this is just archetypal Clare Riesling. Best drinking: 2016-2030. 17.7/20, 92/100. 11%, $22. Would I buy it? For $22 this is a steal, so yes.  Andrew Graham, Australian Wine Review October 2016

West Cape Howe Great Southern Riesling 2016
Very clear and bright with a hint of light straw. Delicately perfumed with light floral notes. Attractive 'lemonade' aromas. Has gorgeous citrus fruit flavours and a lovely fullness without being sweet. The beautiful ripe lemon and lime flavours are complexed by the delicate floral characters, all balanced by its great natural acidity. With good mouthfeel and palate weight and a long, clean finish, this is a great example of a delicate, dry, cool climate Riesling.

The Adelaide Hills is one of those regions, much like the Yarra Valley, that has a bit of a go at growing everything. Riesling maybe a little more successful in the Adelaide Hills than the Yarra though, perhaps.
It’s a nice change of pace from your usual Clare or Eden Valley style: a little softer, more floral and come-hither. Ruby red grapefruit, slight pepper and herbal seasoning, ginger and green apple. Gentle chalkiness, delicacy and refreshment at every turn, with a clean finish of excellent length.
