  1. Pikes Riesling Traditionale 2013

    Pikes Riesling Traditionale 2013

    Regular Price: $27.50

    Special Price: $23.49

... Expressive aromas and flavours. Lemon sorbet, jasmine, lime zest, and guava. Plenty of talcy, slatey minerality drives the wine towards an unwavering gin and tonic finish. The acidity is ultra-fine and graceful. I love it now but I’m of the opinion that its future will be bright as well. 94 points Wine Will Eat Itself
    ...
Slight bottle stink then jasmine, lemon and lime with a juicy burst of citrus flavour set in a firm and lightly chalky/slatey palate. Doesn’t lose its way at any stage on its journey to the back of the palate – lemon tang and spice to farewell. Crunchy, tasty and authoritative all at once. A winner. 94 points Winefront.com.au

Moorish and enticing. Line and length; firm yet balanced natural acid structure. Flamboyant and extravagant. Full of ginger spice.
Showing some youthful freshly bottled asafoetida stink on opening, but so fresh and juicy with lemon/lime, slate and green mango flavours. ...So tasty. A strong release and a great follow up to the excellent 2012. Easy to drink now too. 93 points Winefront.com.au

  3. O'Leary Walker Watervale Riesling 2013

    O'Leary Walker Watervale Riesling 2013

O’Leary Walker is a key name of Australian riesling, in my books. Pretty much as good as anyone. Absolute purity and precision. Lime juice, lime rind and bath salts. Hits the mark up-front and surges straight on with it. If I was looking to drink a young riesling and I saw this, I wouldn’t hesitate. Pulses through the finish. Can’t ask for much more. 93 points Winefront.com.au

  1. O'Leary Walker Polish Hill River Riesling 2013

O'Leary Walker Polish Hill River Riesling 2013

If you’re a riesling drinker, I’d suggest this release from the famed Polish Hill River sub-region of the Clare Valley is a wine you should be buying/drinking. I like everything about this wine. It’s pure lime and slate and it’s both up-front and reserved at once. It gives but it keeps some for Ron. It’s intense through the finish yet it feels watery and refreshing through the centre. It’s beautiful drinking. For now or later. As a matter of fact … 94 points Winefront.com.au

  2. Mesh Eden Valley Riesling 2013

    Mesh Eden Valley Riesling 2013
    $26.99

Limes, lemon and orange rind. Slatey and coiled but the acidity isn’t at all harsh. Rather it has great depth. A hint of fennel bulb with a tingling bath salt epilogue. There is a quiet yet unnerving persistence and drive which should see it age well. 93+ points Wine Will Eat Itself
The collaboration between Jeffrey Grosset and Robert Hill Smith continues to pay dividends....

    Special Price: $19.99

Mixed citrus of all colours with an almost passionfruit and lemongrass tang to it. No shortage of  fruit power, richness and intensity, with a strong cut of acid and some exotic spices coming through. Flinty and lightly chalky on the finish.  94 points WInefront.com.au
Traditional Riesling made exciting once more. Sometimes you don’t need to reinvent the wheel – you just need to have access to the right site and know how to treat it. While I’m happy to slug some of this back now my money would be on it outperforming its predecessor in the cellar. 94+ points Wine Will Eat Itself

    Regular Price: $35.50

    Special Price: $34.00

Delicate lime zest and floral aromas fill the glass. Further citrus flavours develop on the fresh mineral structure, enhanced by the juicy acid finish.
Whoa. Fantastic. Such delicacy but intensity. Sleekness and purity with a drive that feels F1 racy ..... talc-like minerality lending complexity. Citrus, apple blossom and general floral aromas with an uplifting freshness to inhale. Everyone’s wine can be unique, but there’s a sense of ‘other’ here that’s compelling. Again, fantastic." 95 points Mike Bennie Winefront.com.au

    Glaetzer-Dixon überblanc Riesling 2012

    Regular Price: $25.50

Very aromatic wine with complex perfume of candied citrus, honey, flowers and faint nuttiness. Nice. It’s a dazzling riesling to taste – vibrant, made frisky with a squeeze of citrus, bursting across the palate with crispness and steely texture. There’s just a hint of sweetness, but it hits the back of the palate with a zingy clip and makes you want to dive in for more. Light, flighty and fresh. Very delicate, but very good wine here. 93 points Winefront.com.au

This is fantastic to drink, straight up. A kind of gin and tonic sour/sweetness, a trickle of sweet lime juice, Thai spice in the bouquet perking things up and a tingly vein of mineral-laden-water minerality finishing a touch mealy and with sleek sweetness.... Supple, succulent and mouthwatering, and rates high on drinkability. Big ticks. Clarity of fruit great too. Cool and refreshing adult lemonade; now step up to the plate. 92 points Mike Bennie Winefront.
