Sidewood Estate Chardonnay 2015

Regular Price: $21.50

Special Price: $20.50

As low as: $19.99

Light straw in colour this wine displays lifted aromas of apricots and rockmelon. The palate oozes an opulent, mouth filling mid palate showing honeysuckle with a hint of lemon. This luscious, complex wine has wonderful acid balanced by an incredible softness. Drinking beautifully now and will continue to improve with cellaring over the next 5 years. Simply serve chilled on its own or enjoy as an outstanding accompaniment to creamy pastas, spiced infused chicken or with buttered mushrooms as a vegetarian option.

Tyrrells Hunter Valley Shiraz 2013

Regular Price: $20.00

Special Price: $19.00

As low as: $17.99

Nice wine this – feels like essence of Hunter Valley Shiraz. Medium bodied with savoury tannins drawling through the wine. Offers up red fruits, dustiness but not too much, and light, washy acidity keeps things fresh. It might lack some stuffing but it’s pitch-perfect as an example of Hunter and drinkability with savouriness. Crunch and chew in the finish lends a hand.
Better than you think.  91 points Winefront.com.au

Tyrrells Hunter Valley Chardonnay 2014

Regular Price: $20.00

Special Price: $19.00

As low as: $17.99

Peach, mixed citrus, gentle vanilla and cedar oak and some wheatgerm.Medium bodied, juicy fruit, but with some restraint,  limey acidity offset with a dab of cream and almond. Good length. Acid freshens the aftertaste, but does not twang.
This is nicely done: meets the modern and traditional schools of Hunter Chardonnay in the middle playground.  90 points Winefront.com.au"

.....You can smell the perfect ripeness from first whiff, with banana oak and yeast characters over a surprisingly taut palate. It's not particularly complex, and there's a little warmth on the finish, but otherwise it's just a lovely Chard for anyone into the more medium bodied, mod-Hunter style.
For $20 this is Goldilocks Chardonnay.  Score: 17.7/20, 92/100
Would I buy it? Yes. This would be a shining star on an pub wine list. Andrew Graham Australian Wine Review

Castelli Estate Pemberton Chardonnay 2014

Wine Companion tasting note. Rating: 95 points
Drink By: 2024 Price:$32.00 Alcohol: 13.3% James Halliday - Published on 27 Jul 2015
Bright straw-green, vibrant, but a little deeper than most when 11 months old; barrel ferment inputs are immediately obvious, providing aroma/flavour complexity, structure and texture likewise. Struck match, grapefruit zest and toasty oak have come together with unexpected poise, bordering on outright finesse. Quite a journey.

Willow Bridge Wine Makers Range G1-10 Chardonnay 2013

Regular Price: $29.99

Special Price: $28.00

As low as: $27.50

White peach, almond, spice, cut fennel and preserved lemon. Fine boned, tight grapefruity acidity, gentle savoury and yoghurt flavours, flint and light glossiness. Good burst of flavour, though not too much of it: certainly leans on the more restrained side of the Chardonnay fence. Finish is long and really bursts out all lemony with a softening touch of almond paste.
Very good. Needs a year or two in bottle. 93 points Winefront.com.au

Stoney Rise Holyman Chardonnay 2013

Regular Price: $49.99

Special Price: $47.99

As low as: $45.50

Wow. Smoke and struck match, white flower, aniseed and white fleshed fruit, gentle oak spice. A pretty wild ride but the palate is pitch perfect and powerful with a light gloss of honeycomb and almond, tight mineral acid, grapefruit, lime and a long flinty saline finish. Pretty funky and smoky, but so well defined and so good to drink: the fruit matches the winemaking work.
Such personality. Superb. Wow. Drink: 2015 - 2023 96 points

Ministry of Clouds Tasmania Chardonnay 2015

Regular Price: $45.00

Special Price: $43.50

As low as: $40.00

A textural wine combining the fineness and acid line from Huon Valley fruit, and the muscle and intensity of the Derwent parcel... White nectarines, Meyer lemons and subtle hints of oatmeal and nougat are evident. While the acidity is tightly wound, it is also lush and opulent with the palate toeing a fine balance between fruit succulence, underlying minerality and racy, nervy acidity.

Woodlands Chardonnay 2015

The colour of our 2015 Chardonnay is vibrant straw. The nose reveals classic primary characters of peach, pear and stonefruit combining with toasty French oak notes. The palate carries a core of stone fruits, cashew and spice, and finishes bright with excellent natural acidity."- Woodlands Wines.

Dexter Chardonnay 2014

Regular Price: $41.00

Special Price: $39.99

As low as: $38.00

Dexter Mornington Peninsula Chardonnay  is bright, pale lemon-gold, green tinged. Still a little shy to sniff, but there are hints of stone fruits. The palate is tightly contained by citrusy, grapefruity acidity, showing stone fruits, fig and its ripe and mouth-filling, held in balance by that refreshing acidity. Although there is 20% new oak, that component is background material along with suggestions of nutty, mealy complexity. This is a complex wine that wants more time; I’d suggest leaving it for another six to twelve months, from when it will repay amply that order of patience.

The Lane Block 1 Chardonnay 2013

Oak is part of the seduction and there’s nothing wrong with that. This offers texture, flavour and length at a more than reasonable price. It tastes of melon, lactose, cream and white peach, and is
both seductive and satisfying.  92 points Campbell Mattinson Winefront.com.au
