Mike Bennie 95 Points - Whoa. This is a great riesling. The key points are texture and perfectly judged sweetness that lends character but feels drier than what it is. It kicks off with brilliant, vibrant scents of lime, talc, general mineral things and faint candied citrus. The palate is limey but tight as, licked at by that candied citrus and crystalline, zingy, brisk acidity and the faintest oatmeal-yeasty note. Complex, delicious, epic in length, generally outstanding to drink. Yikes.  95 poin Learn More

Some of our favorite blocks were selected for this wine. The nose is citrus with a slight hint of oak, the palate is weighted and generous and has the texture and complexities associated with time on lees. A rich and fresh Chardonnay, with subtle cream undertones, making it a perfect companion to chicken or pasta dishes. Excellent drinking upon release and will develop in complexity with short term bottle age. Learn More

"A new range for Tyrrell's comprising a Shiraz, Chardonnay and this Semillon. From what I can gather sits between the single vineyard/Vat wines and Lost Block. Bang on for presentation and style too. What appeals is how easily drinkable, gentle, approachable yet varietal correct it is. Immediately it carries both the acid driven length of Tyrrell's Semillon, yet cast a little softer, with more green/yellow apple and lemonade fruit than some of the bone dry Vats (helped along by a perfect ripe vintage). Importantly, there is no sensation that this is a sec Learn More

"Vanilla, honeysuckle, struck match, citrus and pear, with a touch of spice. Light to medium bodied, perhaps on the early-picked side, but not short on flavour either. Gentle glossiness with flint and struck match to scrub up the texture, grapefruit and lime the main flavours, though it’s not abrasive and has a cool white peach thing going on too. Length is excellent. It invites easy drinking while delivering complexity. Deluxe, but restrained you might say. I’d say this is going to improve with a couple of years Learn More

highest honour, the Falstaff Winemaker of the Year in 2008. Cool, youthful, taut and multi-layered. Yellow fruit dominates, nicely supported by grapefruit and herbs and firmly embedded in a mineral background. The texture is pure, austere and dynamic, the body is linear and like cast in stone. Precise and clear. Accompanies most of Austria's culinary specialities. Just at the beginning of its development. …This is considered by Ott to be his first “serious” GV for the table Learn More

  2. West Cape Howe Regional Range Riesling 2017

West Cape Howe Regional Range Riesling 2017
Very clear and bright with a hint of light straw. Delicately perfumed with light floral notes. Attractive 'lemonade' aromas. Has gorgeous citrus fruit flavours and a lovely fullness without being sweet. The beautiful ripe lemon and lime flavours are complexed by the delicate floral characters, all balanced by its great natural acidity. With good mouthfeel and palate weight and a long, clean finish, this is a great example of a delicate, dry, cool climate Riesling. Learn More

Wild & Wilder Tabula Rasa White 2018 (500 mL)
"Semillon 70%, Sauvignon Blanc 20%, Arneis 6%, Petit Manseng 4%, with about 24 hours of skin contact. It’s one of Giles Cooke’s projects for Alliance Wine. Comes in a cute 500ml crown seal bottle. Pretty, floral, raw almond, lime, bright, juicy, chalky feel, lemon pith bitterness, a refreshing, quinine-like finish of fair length. It’s charming, but most of all, flat out delicious to drink." Rated : 93 Points Gary Winefront. Learn More

  2. Wirra Wirra The Lost Watch 'Hand Picked' Riesling 2018

Wirra Wirra The Lost Watch 'Hand Picked' Riesling 2018
Water clear, it’s an impressively precise Riesling in every way. A hint of melon and then perfectly delineated grapefruit flavour that, despite the rampant natural acidity, has this perfect natural juiciness. Impressively vital and very drinkable young white wine. Best drinking: Now, or wait a few years and try again at six or seven. Would I buy it? Absolutely.     Andrew Graham, Australian Wine Review Learn More

This wine has a beautiful combination of being both uplifting and refreshing on the palate, but also powerful and textural. A pristine wine that craves drinking in the sun, our 2017 chardonnay would pair beautifully with shellfish, or a grilled peach, rocket and prosciutto salad.A very muscular and powerful wine, the nose displays an array of orchard fruits (apricot, peach, nectarine) combined with toasty French oak notes. The palate follows the lead, mirroring the flavours of the nose and finishing wit Learn More

Bright, fresh and pristine, this charming riesling shows white flesh stone fruit, lemon peel and jasmine aromas on the nose, followed by a brilliantly focused palate that is juicy and lively. The wine delivers excellent weight and intensity, while remaining elegant and poised with an impressively long mouth-watering finish. Sam Kim   Learn More

Pale straw with slight green tinge. The intriguing bouquet displays fresh passionfruit and thyme aromas with hints of dried herbs / kaffir lime and the subtle influence of judicious oak use lingering in the background. The lively palate is medium bodied with wonderful clarity offering citrus flavours, crunchy tropical fruits, lemon thyme and spice. A beautifully structured wine, layered with lovely textural elements yet maintaining a crystalline backbone of quartz and zesty acidity. The influence of wild fermentation in barrel has added a touch of complexit Learn More

James Halliday  94 Points It all sees oak though only 10% of it is new. This just has that something extra; it carries along in competent style but the sparks really fly on the finish. It's slippery and textural, though not oily, fresh with fruit, and then wild with dry spice, roasted nuts, fennel, fruit and mineral to close. You want more? It gives it to you.
