A blend of four vineyards - vineyards are divided into lots that are harvested at different times. Ripe plum fruit flavors and silky texture. Dark fruit character, dense mid-palate and pepper notes. Black cherry aromas and excellent structure. Explosive floral aromatics and full, concentrated mouthfeel.
International Wine Cellar -  91 points - Bright red-ruby. Raspberry, licorice and fig aromas lifted by sexy oak tones. Vinous and refined on the palate, with dark raspberry, currant and fig flavors complicated by a saline nuance. Nicely balanced and not at all overly sweet. ... Absolutely beautiful to drink – glossy and slippery in texture with a pop of spice and a dash of pepper. It’s a seamless flow of crisp, gently sweet fruit and finishes with a lick of sweetness. Has an exotic feel to the wine in sweet/sour perfumes and flavours, almost pushing into amaro territory, but so very enjoyable. Joyous kind of vibe.

  2. Sami-Odi Baby Tui Syrah 2012

    Sami-Odi Baby Tui Syrah 2012

    Regular Price: $80.00

    Special Price: $75.00

Savoury from the get-go, clove, cedar, pencil shavings and coupled to the wood edifice a lift of perfume with ripe forest berries, faint peppery stems (100% whole bunch used). The perfume goes from interesting to more complex as it opens. Superb.

It's juicy and fresh to taste but there's plenty of tempering of the fruit with very fine, firm, dusty tannins that trim the wine and shape it through the long, gently saline finish. ... Taut and trim yet expressive, with freshness.

An impressive wine, more so for showing restraint from the nominally generous 2012 vintage. Excellent. 95 points Mike Bennie Winefront.com.au

  3. Wirra Wirra the Absconder Grenache 2012

Wirra Wirra the Absconder Grenache 2012

Mid-weight, yet not lacking intensity, this is utterly triumphant Grenache in the near perfectly balanced McLaren Vale Burgundy mode. Watch critics swoon over this. Drink: 2013-2022
Score: 18.7/20, 95/100 Andrew Graham Australian Wine Review - Would I buy it? I'd buy this over plenty of southern Rhone reds twice the price. In other words - a big yes."
.... amalgamated fruit flavour and plummy flesh with the savouriness that I wish we saw more often in the is variety. Dusty herbs on the back-palate. It’s persistence cannot be questioned. 94+ Wine Will Eat Itself"
Medium bodied with gentle squishy red fruits mixing with more savoury earth/tobacco flavours, all very good, yes, but what I like most is its insistent fine grained tannin that controls and shapes the wine from front to long back palate. Good now. Good later. Beautiful wine. McLaren Vale Pinot Noir. 95 points Winefront.com.au

    Ravensworth Hilltops Nebbiolo 2013

    Regular Price: $31.00

    Special Price: $30.00

    As low as: $28.00

Most unusual to find a nebbiolo with such a bright hue, and the palate is even more unusual. .....Yes, it does have the wild herb savoury twist of nebbiolo, allied with persistent fine tannins, but there is a power of red fruits. As it ages in bottle, aromas of spice, violets, cedar and rose petal can all be expected to develop.

    Regular Price: $26.50

    Special Price: $25.00

    As low as: $22.50

One of the best Australian Sangioveses I’ve tasted. On its tenth vintage so I've taken my time getting to it.Deeply cherried with excellent sweet-savoury interplay. Almond skins, dried herbs, orange peel, a dusting of cocoa and plenty of leathery, chewy tannin to satisfy you long after you swallow. The acidity seems to sit especially comfortably within the wine and the back-palate is wonderfully earthen and aniseedy. Looked better and better over three days. Will surely age well. 93 points Wine Will Eat Itself

Perfumed and oh so pretty. .... Savoury, spicy and elegant with great endurance. 93+ points Wine Will Eat Itself
Ravensworth 2013 is one of the greatest reds to come out of the Canberra District, ...... Canberra’s distinctive floral aroma, vivid berry-and-spice varietal flavours and sensuous, supple texture. It appeals now, but will deliver even more with bottle age. Chris Shanahan
High toned floral and red fruit perfume, really pretty, touch of stone fruit, whiff of garrigue/earthiness. Good scents. Juicy hit of flavour, on verge of crisp, some game and meatiness in the mix. Savoury set wine here – very good to drink. Has satiny slinkiness to texture too. Superb length, finesse, carry of sleek flavour. Drinkability is so high. Right here, right now. 95 points Winefront.com.au
