First and foremost, it’s a beautiful drink ... Tastes of tar and blackcurrant, dust and dried herbs. Almost a little sappy/spicyperfumed in the mouth. . Quite gorgeous. Rated : 91 Points The Winefront Campbell Mattinson
Composure, sensitivity and balance are the keys here. It’s almost dapper actually ... Very persuasive all up, especially at the price. Excellent Wine Will Eat Itself

Blood plum, nuts, licorice and some chocolate on a middle weight palate that delivers plenty of flavour along with attractive chewiness and freshness. The length is particularly impressive and closes with a desirable Italianate bitterness, like chicory or similar. Is it the best release of Gran Sasso to date? I suspect so. I defy you to find a more interesting, savoury wine with modest alcohol and food friendliness at the price. If you do, please let me know. It’s ever so slightly better than a 90 point wine ... Rated : 91 Points Winefront
Learn MoreThis wine is incredibly exciting with a huge range of exotic florals and spices in the bouquet. I see hints of cinnamon or the richer cousin Cassia bark. Initially it has a broody dark berry tone and then lifts with some delicate floral notes like the roses grandpa used to obsessively tend; dark ruby rose. The palate explodes like the fruit of a pomegranate with a nice tang linking in with the gravelly tannins. It's like a locomotive on the palate, it keeps building steam. Great vitality and perfume!
Learn MoreEven served with a decent chill it’s still revving to get its charms across – within a strict, structured framework. Roses, strawberries, tobacco, licorice. Touch of alcohol warmth. Opens up nicely as it rests in the glass. Excellent buying option. Rated : 91 Points Winefront.com.au
Learn MoreUnoaked, and all the better for it, sulphur Free, and all the better for it. Bright summer red drinking of the highest style and quality!!
A super vibrant black/ purple colour in the glass heralds a lively dark forest fruit and black cherry nose, as well as a lushness and hints of liquorice and spice. The wine has a rich, textural and even palate tied together with beautifully structured tannins. This is a medium to full-bodied style of wine.
We should all drink more of these styles of wines, indeed, we should all drink more of THIS wine! - Gavin Trott
This is another masterful blend by Sarah. Bursting with exuberant fruit and a complex aromatic nose, this wine shows lovely integrated hints of vanillin oak and a multitude of flavours ranging from spice, chocolate and blackberry fruit. Both powerful and delightful, this wine exudes all three varietal characters in a strong and harmonious way.
