The wine is bright purple black in colour. It has intense aromas of Christmas cake, black fruits, plums, dark chocolate and clove spice. On the palate the wine is rich and juicy with intense dark fruit flavours and ripe tannins. The wine is soft, but full with a solid structure. Complex and refined, this blend is completed by a very intense and lengthy finish. An approachable and fruit-driven wine that is best enjoyed over the next five years.
This wine is a delightful purple red colour. The nose is fabulous, dark plums, blackberries, blueberries, with a slight dusting of icing sugar, exotic spices, and a savoury earthiness all mingled together. The palate is not a let down it's absolutely delicious, that plummy blackberry fruit, mingled with dark raspberries, pure fruited, long and lively. It has a real creaminess to the palate, great length, and really really fine tannins on the finish.
The oak is well in the background, leaving all that wonderful organic fruit to do the work. Given all the above, the wine is actually wonderfully medium bodied, as this style should be. This wine tastes like it should be $30 or more a bottle, it's that good. It is easily the best all of this line yet, and should become your house wine. The Auswine panel
