JM 1ST APPROACH

Deep red brick with a slight purple tinge, perfume of blackcurrant, cassis and juicy berry fruits. A hint of cedar and spice.  The contrasting influences of the two sub regions produce a great synergy. Fine tannin and acid structure give great depth and length with powerful fruit  of blueberry and violets. This wine displays real Cabernet character, a style which the Clare Valley has done well for many years. 2010 is the best we have made to date - very varietal, cassis and blueberry fruits, the palate is rich and powerful. Good acidity and fine grain tannin balance the wine with French oak and juicy length.
