The 2009 Blend was blended from 55% Merlot and 45% Cabernet Sauvignon. It was matured in new and used French oak for 16 months prior to fining and bottling.
This wine is dark in colour, with delicate perfumed blackberry fruit and fine charry vanillan oak. The palate is elegant with a fine balance of complex fruit and a firm tannin finish. This wine will improve and soften with cellaring and will open up with decanting before drinking.
The nose is fresh with dark fruits, a touch of vine leaf and mint and subtle milk chocolate oak characters. The palate is elegant and fine with fresh black fruits and a soft finish.
