This wine is characterised by lifted red cherry and cranberry notes together with spicy cassis undertones. A soft velvety texture with great length of flavour is a reflection of how well these varieties, from Eden Valley, marry together. A dash of Tempranillo contributes subtle savoury nuances to the finish of the palate.

Teusner The Gentleman Cabernet Sauvignon 2015

Regular Price: $25.00

Special Price: $23.50

As low as: $23.00

I love this wine…packed with dark and black fruit flavours, elegant but a wine that has real energy about it…and while the flavours on the palate are rich & inviting, there is a savoury leanness to the wine’s structure that makes it such a good drink. – Winemaker
Kym Teusner Teusner’s The Gentleman Cabernet Sauvignon is one of the better value wines on the market at the moment. It’s grown at altitude in the Eden Valley.

Dark red with a vibrant hue. Notes of red current, plum, bay leaf, juniper, wet clay and graphite.Round yet fine and detailed, this medium bodied wine is brimming with lovely fruit density. Notes of red current, cassis, black cherry, and plum lead the charge, supported by secondary notes of bay leaf, graphite, wet clay and chocolate. Starting early, tannins are savoury in nature and run long through the palate complimented by lovely accents of ash and coal dust. Dense and chewy through to the finish, this wine has excellent length.

West Cape Howe Bookends Cabernet Sauvignon 2013

Regular Price: $26.50

Special Price: $25.00

As low as: $24.00

10 days on skins, portions separately matured in new and used French barriques for 18 months with a further 12 months maturation in bottle. A pure, powerful and perfectly balanced cabernet at the start of what will be a very long life. It oozes blackcurrant, bay leaf and savoury notes on its long palate and aftertaste, the oak certainly evident, but equally subservient to the fruit and tannin of the wine.
Another snap bargain from West Cape Howe. 95 points James Halliday

West Cape Howe Cabernet Merlot 2014

Regular Price: $18.50

Special Price: $17.50

As low as: $17.00

80% cabernet sauvignon, 20% merlot with a simple WA GI; basic vinification: cold soak and 12 days on skins, portions aged separately in new and used French oak for 12 months.
The colour is excellent - as is everything else about the wine; black and redcurrant, bay leaf and black olive hop into bed with each other, and snuggle under the covers, the French oak and tannins left to their own devices.
The value transcends belief. 94 points James Halliday

“Made by the feisty Simon Burnell, also known as Dr. Ongo.”, was how I introduced last year’s model. And now he’s no longer with us. And yet, we have the wine, so raise a glass to Simon while you sip on this veritable bargain. Chin chin old boy. 92 points Winefront.com.au

Woodlands Cabernet Franc Merlot 2014

Regular Price: $24.00

Special Price: $20.00

As low as: $19.99

If you're of a certain persuasion, it would be hard to imagine a better, more interesting, more delicious wine to drink at its price point than this. Blackcurrant, mulberry and its leaves, violets, raspberry, spice box and polished wood. It's medium bodied, with silky fine grained tannin, bright punchy fruit, and a leafy but succulent finish of excellent length, perhaps finished off with a dusting of white pepper.
Such a delight to drink."

Woodlands Cabernet Merlot 2014

Black fruit, cedar, toast and pencil shavings, violet and chocolate, with some regional leaf in tow. Medium to full bodied, dense and tannic, with a distinct ‘mineral’ feel, black tea and chocolate, mixed berries, and a commanding earthy/gravelly finish of fine length. And $25!
Ridiculously good value, and worth cellaring too.
