Quick Overview

Bob Campbell MW 97 Points -Rich, concentrated pinot noir with ripe plum, black cherry, liquorice, spice, anise and nutty oak flavours. A powerful wine that's a pleasure to taste now but has the potential to develop well in bottle. Drink 2017 to 2025.

Andrew Graham 94 Points -Again, handpicked and wild fermented, includes some whole bunches. 30-40% new oak. Lovely lushness to this wine, that quintessential Marlborough plump middle. It’s a little raw on the finish, but I love the juicy fullness of this wine. It feels like real Pinot; no simpleton, with a power push of tannin through the finish. What you want in Marlborough Pinot. Best drinking: 2017-2024.

Product Description

Dog Point Pinot Noir is one of the icons of Marlborough and for good reason. Ivan and James are maestro’s at producing superb pinot noir and this wine is no exception. Dark red berry and cherry fruits blend seamlessly with dark herbs, earthiness, raspberry liqueur and liquorice elements, all wrapped up a fine-grained tannin and refined structural bow. Pairs exquisitely with all the classic pinot matches like duck and other game birds, red meats and mushroom dishes.

94 Points

Sweetly aromatic and supple with nice density. There’s a silky, lush personality to this wine as well as some brightness and richness. A dense example of Dog Point Pinot, a result of small bunches and small berries in this vintage.
