Straw green Exhibits ripe grapefruit, roasted nuts and toasty aromas together with intense yeast characters derived from contact with yeast lees. Palate Full bodied with intense citrus flavour, the palate is finely structured and shows chalky nutty texture as a result of the indigenous ferment and extended yeast contact.
Straw green, with lifted aromas of grapefruit, fresh lime and a degree of minerality combined with roasted hazelnuts and toasty yeast characters derived from eighteen months
evolution in French oak barrels. The finely structured palate has a chalky textural complexity, as a result of an indigenous ferment and yeast lees contact, complimented by intense citrus and fig flavours.
Concentrated Chardonnay with plenty of bready, gingery lees and spicy oak characters adding a seasoning to strong grapefruit, peach and nectarine fruit flavours. A powerful wine that makes a strong and compelling statement. 93 points Bob Campbell
The 2008 Dog Point Chardonnay is also excellent ... It tastes of citrus and apricot, but again, there is more focus on the texture of the wine. It has nutty elements and some minerality. This wine is more restrained than Chardonnay of the earlier years from this producer. Score: 94/+ Australian Wine Review
