Quick Overview

Rich-ish scents of warm berries, faint mocha powder, liquorice, fennel, pepper. Come hither and generous in a way. Soft in the palate, slurpy textured, dark fruit, faint herb, touch of cola, gently sweet then a smudge of chompy tannin followed by licks of pomegranate-esque acidity. It’s got plenty tucked into its medium weight frame and yet the skol factor is very high. You could pause over this in a big glass, or knock a chill into it and drink from a tumbler. One of those totally moreish wines." Rated : 92 Points Winefront.com.au

Product Description

Lighter, warm climate red wines based on Grenache particularly from McLaren Vale have a growing place on the tables of Australian diners. Youthful, flavoursome wines to make you smile that match where and how we live, and the food we love to eat.right red berries and watermelon. Light to medium bodied Fine and sandy Plush and juicy with a long, succulent finish

"A conversation with Steve Pannell still rings in my head when I see his wines. His ideal for his wines is that they are drunk with gusto, with a currency that suits Australian climate, lifestyle, food/produce and general culture of drinking. Therefore, though his wines are often complex in their layering of aromas and flavours, and at times tannin structure (tannin is your friend, we both chime!), there is an appeal in early approach and a drinkability that is compelling. Or so the theory goes. And yet the wines are typically on a pedestal amongst the cognoscenti, or at least leading a charge into the fray. Here, grenache (garnacha) from McLaren Vale, nouveau styled but with a bit more under the hood.
