Pittnauer Pitti is a blend of Blaufränkisch and Zweigelt. It is medium bodied in weight with a plush texture, lovely floral notes, spice and savoury notes. There’s plenty of generous fruit flavour all balanced with a pleasant tannin grip and bright acid balance.

Intense kind of wine but geez it feels good to drink. It’s heady in dark fruit, prune, cinnamon, cola and anise scents. The palate is a punchy wash of dark fruits, kirsch, faint herbs. It’s juicy but has pops of bright acidity through it, making it feel a touch wild, but also, supremely refreshing as a red. Do you like medium weight, spicy-feeling reds with some oomph? Here ya go.

This is very pleasurable in the glass, displaying red cherry and floral aromas. A crisp and fresh palate with deliciously sweet, juicy red cherry fruit characters. This blend of Blaufrankisch and Zweigelt reminds me of a Beaujolais but with more grip to it. While it is joyful, it also has enough structure to match serious dishes, such as game and pork.
