2012 was an exceptional vintage for quality with small yields and amazing fruit concentration. A small selection of our vineyard is planted with the famous Rosé clone of Nebbiolo (CVT CN111) which is ideally suited to producing fantastic dry Rose’s. With a wonderful salmon colour and slightly orange hue the 2012 Boat Shed shows lifted cherry blossom, orange peel and ripe strawberry aromas. The palate has mouth filling maraschino cherry and musk with crisp acidity and a long fresh finish. Unmistakeably Nebbiolo.
Adelaide Hills. Vintage 2012. Nebbiolo. Rosé. Affordable asking price. Has a few ducks in a row. Bright salmon colour. Tonnes of welcoming, fruity aroma. Feels both dry and vigorous in the mouth. Even served with a decent chill it’s still revving to get its charms across – within a strict, structured framework. Roses, strawberries, tobacco, licorice. Touch of alcohol warmth. Opens up nicely as it rests in the glass. Excellent buying option. Rated : 91 Points Winefront.com.au
