Sparkling red wines are a great Australian tradition, and along with other wineries Majella has kept the tradition alive with our very popular sparkling Shiraz.
Our Shiraz is bottled fermented on "lees" for just on 48 months. The wine is then disgorged and a small amount of "liqueur" (sweetener) is added. In the true Aussie tradition we use some really fantastic vintage port.
The wine is now packaged under a "Crown Seal" which eliminates any problems with leakage or cork taint. It's a great wine for any occasion, and goes well with most food styles.

Majella’s reds are characterised by two main traits: quality and drinkability. The sparkling shiraz is an excellent example of just that.
Hits the spot, that’s for sure. It tastes of mushrooms and cherries, leather and chocolate – it pleases for both sheer yumminess and for relative complexity. It finishes with a strong burst of flavour though for the most part it’s light-ish, in a good way. It won’t knock you over but it will slip down ever-so-easily. Rated : 92 Points Winefront.com.au
