International freight has minimums and set costs as set by the shipping companies. This means that 1 bottle costs the same freight as 7 bottles, and also that 6 bottles costs much more than half the 12 bottle cost. Our experience is, except for wine like Grange or Hill of Grace, less than 1 case tends to be uneconomical.
As usual with freight, the more cases, the less per case. Should you get together with friends to buy 5 or more cases we can offer very attractive rates.
Please note, for international freight we have a minimum shipment of a full case, and no less than 6 bottles of any individual wine. That is, no more than two different wines per case.
For shipments to most destinations, 6 cases or more brings large freight savings. Perhaps a group of you may wish to order together to get these larger savings?
If we ship the wines to you we can usually claim back all WET and GST taxes before the shipment leaves, and discount your order accordingly. This generally amounts to about 10% off older and back vintage wines, and up to 22 - 24% off retail for current releases, although this varies from wine to wine. We will always quote you exact costs prior to you confirming your order.
