Deep crimson red of good intensity and vibrant hue. Intense berry fruits, cassis and chocolate mint character notes with background cedar like oak. Medium bodied, this wine shows a vibrant and lively fruit driven palate with a fleshy middle and soft mature ripe tannin.

The architecture is stunning. Cranberry accented acidity and ripe, graphite/mineral tannin. It moves from entry to exit without any interruption and the extension is remarkable .... Sheer Burgundy in colour. Sweet musky florals of raspberry, white pepper spice and anise. The palate is plump, textured, medium bodied and carries sweet, red fruits, liquorice, and pepper through a finale of Grenache's warmth, finesse and silky tannins. The palate is long and tasty with a tannic finish that is vitally important to balance the wine richness and make it best suited to drinking with food.

Rating: 96 James Halliday, Wine of the Week! .....  Bright straw-green; a seductive and delicious wine that fills and caresses the mouth in way that is not in the Tasmanian mainstream, thanks to the absence of strident acidity. There is a creamy/nutty aspect to the white peach fruit from the barrel fermentation that adds to the expression of that fruit on the long, fine palate.

Good intensity here. Really fresh and perfumed. Inviting. Textural. Almost chewy. Rose petals and green apples. Stonefruity power to the mid palate. Chalky finish. Has that ‘desperate for shellfish’ quality. Tending towards brineyness. Perfumed aftertaste. Very good – drinking and buying. 90 points WInefront.com.au
