Most of my wines are made for the HEAD – this one’s for the HEART.
HEAD ROSE is now exclusively sourced from two dry grown Grenache vineyards on sand in the north of the Barossa near the old Parish of Kalimna. The grapes were hand harvested earlier than red wine production and pressed directly into a stainless steel tank where a cool, natural fermentation took place on full solids for 50 days. No additions or adjustments were necessary for this wine bar the addition of 10% barrel fermented Viognier, just prior to filtering and bottling under stelvin capsule.
Pale metallic copper flecked with pink/purple. The nose shows perfumed candy, raspberry, strawberry and cream with delicate citrus notes. The palate shows light red sweet fruits with clean, citrusy acidity. Soft, delicate mineral finish - as grape to glass as you can get. Perfect for Mediterranean and spicy cuisine. Pale salmon with a touch of copper. The nose shows pink grapefruit, apricot, stone-fruit & raspberries. The palate shows a rich texture with delicate citrus, strawberry and a dry, persistent mineral finish. Drink now or up to 3 years. 13.0% Alcohol.
