A blend of 39% Pinot Noir, 15% Pinot Meunier and 46 % Chardonnay. This has always been one of the best non-vintage Champagnes available and equal to many prestige cuvee's. The wine spends 5 years in bottle before release giving the wine a wonderful richness and texture. A core of dark black Pinots fruits dominate while the Chardonnay imparts a striking minerality on the finish. Over delivers for its price, and is also worthy of further cellaring.
"Opulent Champagne, this is saturated with ripe fruit, from white peach to white raspberry and lime. It's gloriously heady, yet the acidity keeps it clear and aligned. Old-fashioned rococo elegance."
92 points - Wine & Spirits 'Year's Best Champagne'; December 2008
This is big on flavour for a non-vintage Champagne, also with finesse and intensity. Gosset packs plenty into this wine with focused, fragrant red fruits. Impressive red fruit flavour, bright precise acid and a flurry of fresh strawberry to close. Gourmet Traveller Wine Dec/Jan 2010.
