Quick Overview

2017 De Iuliis Steven Vineyard (A$40)was for me an excellent example of stylish, medium-bodied Hunter shiraz. Kirkwood was expansive, writing, “It starts with gentle-weighted, plush red fruits, builds through the palate and continues to develop into a rather demanding wine. Vibrant rose petal and violets to start with – seems light on its feet, then builds through a light- to mid-weighted raspberry and mulberry palate that flows through to a rather fine-framed yet lingering and beautiful wine.
Pure and pretty. The shape and flow are stunning.” 95 points Gourmet Traveller Wine

Product Description

One of the great wines of Australia, Hunter Shiraz is powerful as it is subtle. Everything is in balance: Pure ripe blackberry fruit flavours, some spice and earthy characters and round soft tannins.
SILVER - HUNTER VALLEY WINE SHOW 2018

"A beautiful wine to whisk you away. Gorgeous red berry and dried red flower aromas greet you here.

Sweet baking spices waft around carefree tempting to lure you closer. Super slurp factor from the delicious medium body profile, the depth of the mid-palate shies away fractionally from ensuring this is a wine that makes an absolute stamp of authority. Good fruit persistence leads to a moreish finish. Earthy and spicy to close. A lovely Shiraz." Rating: 92 Points  Steve Leszczynski, Q Wine (October 2018)
