Quick Overview

2016  Gold Medal- McLaren Vale Wine Show, Gold Medal- AAVWS, Trophy Best Nero d'Avola- AAVWS, Trophy Best Italain Red - AAVWS, Trophy Best Red Wine- AAVWS, Trophy Dr Rod Bonfiglioni Best Wine Of Show - AAVWS,

" ... Hazelnuts dipped in chocolate, spice, boysenberries, sage and black jelly beans. Or something like that; I’d hate to be too specific. It’s medium bodied, has fine grained tannin, and combines a savoury dimension with supreme slurpability. Tannin rolls on the finish and cleans everything up. Oh, has some dried flower perfume too.
They’ve turned out a beauty in 2016. I can’t imagine anyone not enjoying this. " Rated : 93 Points Winefront.com.au

Product Description

The grape variety Nero d'Avola was originally selected in southern Sicily and suits warm climates. Coriole produces a fruit forward, early drinking style. This 2016 vintage is Coriole's fifth bottling and second commercial release.

A bright nose of sweet wildberries, sage flowers and aniseed. The palate is light to medium bodied with juicy plum and cherry. Fresh and clean with silky tannins and balanced acidity. Highly drinkable as a young wine.

" I was having a look at the Coriole website, and time almost stood still when I experienced winemaker Alex Sherrah’s ‘Vineyard Blue Steel’. Woah. You can have a look here, and perhaps enjoy the view while you’re drinking this very tasty wine.
