  1. Hoddles Creek Syberia Chardonnay 2017

    Hoddles Creek Syberia Chardonnay 2017
    $60.00
"Well, I ordered six bottles just now. Inside information, and all that. Struck match, lime, grapefruit, almonds, chicken stock, flickers of cool green. Fine and composed, surges through the mouth, grips on tight, and doesn’t let go. So long. Flint, chalk, crunch, texture, subtle bitterness. It’s all here. It’s very Adult Chardonnay. Racy. A nudge and wink to those in-the-know. Outstanding. Rated : 97 Points Gary @Winefront.com.au Learn More

  2. Hoddles Creek Estate PSB Pinot Noir 2018

Hoddles Creek Estate PSB Pinot Noir 2018
    $60.00
"A single vineyard wine, close planted to Pommard and MV6 clones. I liked it from first sniff. Cherry, spice, subtle biscuit oak, a distinct sweet earth/mineral thing happening, and some dried herbs and flowers. Medium-bodied, good amount of flavour, particularly impressive tannin – fine, thick and graphite – pulls the ripcord of juicy acidity on the long finish. Complex. Composed. Cracking. My kind of Pinot Noir." Rated : 95+ Points   Gary @Winefront Learn More

    Regular Price: $26.50

    Special Price: $25.00

Purple fruit, lavender, earth, liquorice and spice, neoprene. Mataro in the front seat here with its clod earth and dried herb character, a little raspberry succulence from the Grenache piping up from the back, and spice and blackberry from the Shiraz. It’s crisp and crunchy, grainy open weave tannin shapes it up, and finishes all dried herb, black fruits and honey. Pretty good now, but should show well with bottle age." 93 points Winefront.com.au   Learn More

  1. Luke Lambert Syrah 2018

    Luke Lambert Syrah 2018

    Regular Price: $37.50

    Special Price: $36.99

Many people know I don’t go a bunch on Shiraz, or more precisely, I have quite specific needs. Luke Lambert is the Jim Clark of winemakers. Neon purple, perfume, pepper, boysenberry, blackcurrant, honey biscuits. It’s light to medium-bodied, intense small berried black fruit, plenty of bunch and spice, highlight is ultra-pure mineral water acidity, fine chalky tannin, and a long crisp peppery finish. Wonderful delineation and expression of Shiraz. Often not for everyone, but works for me. And so often you are defined by what you don’t do. Learn More

Superb chardonnay. Straw-yellow in colour, flinty, powerful of fruit and glorious through the finish. It tastes of white peach, toffee-coated custard apples, oatmeal and smoke-drifted cedarwood, and while it’s tight through the finish the flavours someone manage to reach on through. It remains fresh, steely and refreshing and yet it offers so much. Yes, yes and yes. .... Learn More

Cherry, black raspberry, blackberry and herbs, rosy perfume. Big flavour, quite fruity, as such, very fine dense tannin, a touch of warmth, lots of that beautiful mineral stuff, and a very good finish. Nice. 94 points Winefront.com.au Learn More

"Tannin. The final frontier for Australian wine, and here we boldly go. Split infinitives and superlatives to surely follow. Blackcurrant, dried herbs, nori, flowers. Medium-bodied, ample fruit, but dry and controlled, rolls of deep earthy and gravelly tannin, savoury flavours in the main, and a long finish, freshened with raspberry pip acidity. Beautiful expression of Cabernet here. " Rated : 96 Points Winefront.com.au Learn More

from Jancis Robinson This Asti takes me to summer, even on this cold, gloomy day. It's jasmine, frangipani, old-fashioned roses, dianthus; it's honeyed (you're talking pale-gold spring-blossom honey), it's apple nectar, it's a nip of ginger root in syrup and a pin prick of clove. Tiny, tiny bubbles just prickle the mouth and get all that residual sugar into a congo-dancing line. It turns into poached oranges and pears as it draws to a close. Learn More

    Bel Colle Barbaresco Pajore 2016

"Lashings of sweet red berries, heaps of floral perfume, aniseed and spice, new leather and sage. Medium-bodied, juicy in the red fruit department, not quite jubey, though certainly bursting with the joy of youth and excitement of vintage 2016. It has a translucent quality, a shimmer of perfume, with ultra-fine pumice stone tannin, and a vibrant finish of excellent length, where fine persistent tannin tussles with fragrant black tea and bright red fruits. Transparency and finesse. It’s a great Barbaresco." Learn More
