Light but bright colour; how much the wine owes to winemaker Peter Schell's skills and how much to the (old) vines doesn't matter, for the wine has great vibrancy and energy to the red berry fruits of its grenache/cinsaut blend. 92 points James Halliday

A long and very tight finish. Delicious wine, and will improve (quite a lot I think) with a little sleep in the cellar! Is a really good and very interesting wine that will develop into something even more in 3-5 years. Beautiful nose that is at once complex yet integrated, and its hard to pull yourself away from it to taste. It starts out with a touch of apricot from the Viognier, which soon moves over into limes, almond, pear, melon and much more. Balanced, intense, as fresh as a daisy, and totally delicious with a whisp of fine tannins on the finish. Wonderful stuff! the auswine panel
