Well integrated toasty/bacony oak. And a lemony tang through the finish to complete the job nicely. At first I couldn’t find the X-factor – and then, a couple of hours from opening, it really started to rumble. Time in the cellar should work wonders for this little beauty. Learn More... Suede texture leads into fine, graphite tannin. Complex, layered and beautiful. Wow. 95+ Excellent – Exceptional Wine Will Eat Itself
It’s nicely concentrated with a driving fruit intensity and finishes with clean acid and persistent spice. It’s still finding its feet but this is only going to get better with time. Winingpom
... long, languid and beautifully detailed from start to finish; excellent viticulture and winemaking in total harmony. 96 Points James Halliday
Well it’s become a bit of a star over the past six or seven years. Tannin tames with time though it still ripples and pulls throughout. Terrific length. Savoury to its back teeth – this is not a wine for fruit sluts – and impeccably well balanced. Indeed balance is arguably its key feature. Tip top I’d reckon.95 points Winefront
Learn More... even and perfectly pitched with an impressively long palate. Cranberry freshness and a sort of almond flavour add further appeal. Likely to improve and gain complexity, if you can wait. Irresistible. GW Score: 95+ points Drink: 2013-2020+.
Bushing King 2011 - Gold Medal winner, Trophy Winner, stunning Grenache
Pure essence-y, concentrated and deep: strawberries – fruit and pips – plus toffee. There’s brick dust and older oak Stilton-like smells too. Fabulous. And the palate is fabulous too, but more specifically it is super-deep fruited, intense, slippery textured. 96/100, 10/10, $63. Tim White AFR
Blue and black fruit, peppermint and creamy nougat oak. Ripe, but only just nudging full bodied, with a smooth and even palate, good acid balance, fine tannin, and a long sweetly fruited finish. Has some finesse – not clunky – a lively finer style. Sure to cellar very well too. Rated : 93+ Points Winefront.com.au
