    Regular Price: $23.99

    Special Price: $22.99

The wine has a bright rich red colour, with a purple rim. On the nose, there are bright pretty blue fruits, with violets and red currants too. The wine has a fresh and even palate with red fruits and a hint of varietal mintiness. There are fine tannins and a very good length. Go old-school with food and wine matching, and have it with roast lamb

Strong colour; exceptional mouthfeel ex tannins; much more savoury, but not at the expense of dark black fruits, anise; from three old-vine vineyards in Eden and Barossa Valleys; very good tannins. Matured 12 months in French hogsheads (50% new), blended and matured for a further six months in older French oak. 14.5% alc; screwcap. 96 points; drink to 2039; $50 James Halliday
It’s swish. It’s soft. It’s plush and generous, without ever seeming overdone, or even close to it. It’s alive with black and blue berried fruit, jubey anise then keeping the sweet flow of flavour coming. Lift? There’s plenty. Floral. You can stamp this with the words “fundamentally delicious”. It’s a cracker. It has the tannin structure to match; it leaves no stone unturned."

Has a distinct smell of liquorice and aniseed, layers of spice and floral perfume, mulberry and plum fruit, and what you might call ‘crushed rocks and pencils’, though our words are code for something else that’s probably too hard to describe, really. Medium bodied, dense and tannic, and the tannin here is the thing that sets it apart: a slick of gravelly and minerally feeling stuff. Acidity is spot on, with no spikes or pricks on the way through, just this feeling of composition and primal earthy depth. Some chocolate and red fruits in there too, and a wide web of sticky tannin thrown on the finish.
Boy this is impressive Cabernet.” 95 points

    Regular Price: $20.00

    Special Price: $19.50

Pale, almost clear, with vivid green highlights.  The nose is very fresh and restrained, tending towards citrus with subtle floral notes. The palate is elegant and pure, offering glimpses of its potential, with a core of delicate citrus flavours and beautiful mineral acidity.

" ...Vanilla and aniseed perfume, lime, slaty Eden things. Light bodied, slippery and flinty at once, with a smooth delivery of juicy lime and almost white peachy flavour, then it trims down and pulls flinty and chalky on the finish, though the blessing of ample fruit sweetness is the final impression.
Seasonal drinking made simple. And inexpensive." 93 points Winefront.com.au

The percentage contribution of the two regions isn't specified, but the wine is exceptionally rich, complex and deeply layered, the flavours running through black fruits, licorice and black pepper. Given the intensity of the fruit, it is not surprising that the oak seems to make little impression,
the tannins also swallowed by the fruit, but there nonetheless. 96 points James Halliday

Sourced from the 1948 Old Vine Shiraz on the Warboys Vineyard.

Deep purple with blue hues. Aromas of spice and forest floor followed by bitter chocolate and white pepper precede intense spice and black fruits. Restrained on the palate at first but with airing rich intense fruit flavours are framed by great structure. Have it with...A porterhouse steak and pepper sauce.

Fleshy but opulent. Strident, smoky/cedary oak and all the associated sex appeal. Blue and black berries, graphite and cloves. Fine, grainy tannin.
Big, bold and beautiful. Built to last but can easily be consumed young.  93 points Winefront.com.au

"Our everyday shiraz, the majority of which is sourced from a vineyard that used to be the heart of Rosemount's Super Premium Balmoral Shiraz, now 65 year old dry grown, situated in the heart of Blewitt Springs. All hand picked, cold soaked for 2 days, and fermented in open vats with hand plunging before racking to old large oak. We have also blended about 5% of our Blewitt Springs Mataro into this wine for fragrance and lift."

The nose displays a core of deep, brooding dark berried fruit overlaid with lifted notes of wild forest and exotic spice. The palate shows a core of blue fruits and blood plums matched by the licorice, olive and wild spice of Mataro. The whole bunch character provides tension and detail to the long finish. A very complex and rewarding wines that is still approachable and fun to drink.Peak drinking from mid 2014 to 2024.
