93 points - The delightful marmalade freshness of Muscadelle is on full show here, with an undercurrent of softly spicy complexity and nuances of tea leaves and marmalade. Between three and five years, freshness and maturity find comfortable balance. Tyson Stelzer, Wine Reviews, Wine Business Magazine, June 2013

Puts on an impeccable performance. 95 points Drink to 2024." Campbell Mattinson, James Halliday Australian Wine Companion 2015, 1 August 2014

...Sweet plum and vanilla meet notes of soy, crushed leaf, woody spice and clove. Intricately tannic. Winds up and lets fly with a style punch of flavour through the finish. Drink to 2027." 94 points Campbell Mattinson, James Halliday Australian Wine Companion 2015, 1 August 2014
.... Richness in perfume, wholesome red and black currant fruit, warm and spiced, some leather and licorice in the mix too. Lovely scents. Glide and slide across the palate, but not formless, holding a tension from fine sheets of tannin and crisp acidity. Mouthwatering to finish. Feels elegant." 94 points Mike Bennie, www.winefront.com.au, 2 June 2014

  1. Wirra Wirra Original Blend Grenache Shiraz 2013

Wirra Wirra Original Blend Grenache Shiraz 2013

92+ points - "... That pleases the remnants of the schoolboy that still hides in me, just as Trott never really grew too far past his. It is altogether a pretty and comforting smell..." Philip White, drinkster.blogspot.com
93 points - "I reckon an army of wine folk cut their teeth on such wines; easy drinking, soft textured, rich fruited, mellow spiced and this 2012 Grenache Shiraz blend shows all this with a definition in supple tannins that speaks with further sophistication. Dig in. 14.5% alcohol." Mike Bennie, Australia's Wine Business Magazine, September 2013
94 points - "Absolutely brilliant. ...... Sexy. Lovely purple fruit and a real vibrance and juiciness to this wine. Quite light on its feet and undeniably fresh and vital. Red fruit, aplenty and the tannins are fine. What a wine! Bang on really. Has that great tension between red fruit, fine tannins and freshness." Andrew Graham, Oz Wine Review, August 2013

..... It has the full array of cassis, redcurrant, olive and earth expected of this invariably distinguished wine; just let the tannins relax for a year or two. 95 points James Halliday
Lovely aromatics here – seaweed, violets, sweet rubbed spearmint with chocolate, blackberry and cedar/pencil oak in support. Medium to full bodied, ample red and black fruits, chocolate, nuts and tobacco, spiced oak – seductive style, though not bold or too showy – composed and impeccably balanced. Fine grained tannin draws the finish long. Classic Cabernet. 94 points Winefront.com.au"

  3. Tyrrells Hunter Valley Chardonnay 2014

    Tyrrells Hunter Valley Chardonnay 2014

    Regular Price: $20.00

    Special Price: $18.00

    As low as: $17.00

Peach, mixed citrus, gentle vanilla and cedar oak and some wheatgerm.Medium bodied, juicy fruit, but with some restraint,  limey acidity offset with a dab of cream and almond. Good length. Acid freshens the aftertaste, but does not twang.
This is nicely done: meets the modern and traditional schools of Hunter Chardonnay in the middle playground.  90 points Winefront.com.au"

.....You can smell the perfect ripeness from first whiff, with banana oak and yeast characters over a surprisingly taut palate. It's not particularly complex, and there's a little warmth on the finish, but otherwise it's just a lovely Chard for anyone into the more medium bodied, mod-Hunter style.
For $20 this is Goldilocks Chardonnay.  Score: 17.7/20, 92/100
Would I buy it? Yes. This would be a shining star on an pub wine list. Andrew Graham Australian Wine Review

  1. Forester Estate Sauvignon Blanc

    Forester Estate Sauvignon Blanc

    Special Price: $17.55

    Colour: Pale green/straw.
Aroma: The wine opens with pea shell, flint and passionfruit with an underlying mealy richness. There is a floral lift with balanced nutty oak in support.
Palate: Full, firm and long with creamy-mineral texture. Herbaceous flavours dominate with pea shell, nettle and grass, along with underlying passionfruit and blackcurrant. There is a nutty/oatmeal complexity from barrel fermentation and time on yeast lees. A restrained style with purity and complexity.

A powerful, yet disciplined, display of cabernet varietal character, commencing on the bouquet and gaining even more traction on the medium to full-bodied palate; here rich blackcurrant fruit stands centre-stage, savoury/ powdery tannins adding gravitas, cedary oak likewise. - 96 points James Halliday, Australian Wine Companion Magazine, Oct/ Nov 2014.
Black fruit, black olives, leaf, spicy biscuit and pencil oak, mint, chocolate. Medium bodied, flush in the mouth, pixel fine tannin, even but crisp acidity, and a long tobacco tinged finish. Terrific. Screwcap Drink: 2016 - 2022+" - Gary Walsh, The Wine Front. 94 points

Complex peel, fine flinty smoky oak and lees characters. Exotic tropics which are just right now, not over ripe. So stimulating and provocative. Powerful in the mouth: vibrant and tongue tingling
