The nose shows fresh fruit on cereal, a touch of vanilla, coconut oil with a hint of spice evident in the background.  The warming palate is almost creamy in texture, and delivers the generous malty flavours promised by the nose in a most distinguished fashion.  Our original is destined to become a benchmark Australian single malt.

For whisky devotees, our single malt will be a tantalising experience.

Cirillo Estate the Vincent Grenache 2015

    Regular Price: $19.99

    Special Price: $18.99

Its aroma is less overwhelmingly floral – instead it has a more savoury meatiness, with an underlying minerality and structure that begs to be examined. On the palate it shows the same sweet fruit but it finishes magnificently dry, with savoury spices, hints of cinnamon, clove and bitter cocoa. The tannins are small and grippy but incredibly smooth, and combined with and long, drawing acidity give it great length and a superb finish.

It is a phenomenal wine for under $30 and should be on everyone’s go-to list for lighter, complex, and dangerously moreish South Australian reds. (Clear and Sober Counsel)

  3. Vickery Eden Valley Riesling 2016

    Vickery Eden Valley Riesling 2016

    Regular Price: $23.99

    Special Price: $22.50

Textbook Eden Valley Riesling. It’s mineral with a subtle lavender perfume, spice, grapefruit and lime. Clean and direct, pure acidity and visions of mineral water flowing over stones, if you take my meaning. The finish is clean, crunchy and very long. Beautiful wine. Dead set bargain.
You could even twist my arm to rate it one point higher, maybe.

    Adelaide Advertiser - Tony Love - 02.07.14 4 Stars
“In flash new labelling, this pinky is a regular crowd pleaser while still well respected for its shiraz and grenache core values. This latest outing shows lovely spiced red cherry notes, fresh and zesty energy in the mouth, and genuine fuller flavoured varietal appeal in the finish for more serious dining moments.”

Kaleidoscope hues of amber and gold, flavours of butterscotch, raisin and treacle. Be seduced by the world's most celebrated and decadent dessert wine.

    James Halliday 93 Points James Halliday's Australian Wine Companion 2013 & 2014
Tony Love - The Rutherglen classification means this is a younger, fresher and lighter muscat, yet it still has raisin and butterscotch flavours with a milk-choc sense that suits chocolate mousse. My Best Dozen, Sunday Herald Sun, 4 May 2014
Steven Spurrier - Sealed with a glass closure to preserve freshness, this boasts a superb amber-gold hue, rich, warm nose; and beautifully concentrated, exotically sweet raisiny flavours. An explosive joy with every sip. Decanter Magazine, April 2012

S.C. Pannell Dead End Tempranillo 2015

    Regular Price: $27.99

    Special Price: $26.50

100 % Tempranillo from the Koomilya & Sellicks Hill vineyards in McLaren Vale. The must was traditionally vinified in small open-top fermenters for 10 days. Aged for seven months in large format French and Hungarian oak vats and puncheons, 20% of which were new. This is highly perfumed, vibrant and complex with sweet black cherries, sarsaparilla, and good hints of exotic spice. A plush, light- to medium-bodied, juicy wine with leafy, dusty tannins on the finish.

  1. Leeuwin Estate Art Series Chardonnay 2013

Leeuwin Estate Art Series Chardonnay 2013

    Regular Price: $100.00

    Special Price: $96.00

    As low as: $94.99

Partial wild ferment, everything in barrel, maturation was 11 months in 100% new oak. Despite the vintage warmth this is the most contained Leeuwin I can remember, still green straw coloured and youthful. There is the classic nutty golden oak character of Leeuwin, though – like an oak sunrise. That sounds rude, but the barrel influence here is a big part of the recipe. The length, the power, the weight… all of it smells of absolute quality. Importantly, that oak doesn’t derail the flavour, and every mouthful is a smorgasbord of Chardonnay flavour. You can’t deny the glory of a wine like this – sure, the winemaking sits on top, but the latent glory is apparent. Big yes, but stick it in the cellar for a few years. Best drinking: 2018-2028. 18.5/20, 94/100+. 13.5%, $96. Would I buy it? Yes, even despite the price Andrew Graham Australian Wine Review

  2. Giant StepsApplejack Vineyard Pinot Noir 2015

Giant StepsApplejack Vineyard Pinot Noir 2015

    Regular Price: $55.00

    Special Price: $52.99

    As low as: $49.99

What a killer line-up from Giant Steps in 2015. I simply can't split them, if that was my task. Telltale signs of cool places and whole bunch ferment, whiffs of garrigue, bouquet garni, so let's say dried hedges and dried mixed herbs, in Australian lingo. There's dark cherry, a faint sniff of cola, fennel, pepper too. The palate is awash and ablaze, bright and lively, shows a flighty sheet of tannin that drapes across the mouth then starts to tug like a fist closing on silk. The finish is pulled tight with that fine tannin, caraway seed spice, light herbal notes.
It's beautiful, wonderful drinking, so gluggable, so complex in its nature and presentation, so much to enjoy. 96 points Winefront.com.au

  3. Ravensworth Canberra Districts Sangiovese 2015

    Ravensworth Canberra Districts Sangiovese 2015

    Regular Price: $28.00

    Special Price: $26.50

    As low as: $24.99

    Superb drinking!

Includes 6% cabernet sauvignon, wild openfermented in five batches, 2-4 weeks on skins, matured in used French oak. Light, bright colour; the bowl of cherries on the bouquet becomes more complex on the medium-bodied, very long, savoury/spicy palate.
Almost painfully pure; in a year you'll be very happy. 13% alc, screwcap 94 points, drink to 2030, $25 James Halliday
