A long and very tight finish. Delicious wine, and will improve (quite a lot I think) with a little sleep in the cellar! Is a really good and very interesting wine that will develop into something even more in 3-5 years. Its that old expression, a food wine, really comes alive with some great tapas, grills of meat dishes. The auswine panel

... This may well be about as good as Barossa GSM gets? ... Serious length. And for all those serious bits, still just so irresistibly yum. You’re having your cake and eating it here. 95 points Winefront.com.au
The architecture is stunning. Cranberry accented acidity and ripe, graphite/mineral tannin. It moves from entry to exit without any interruption and the extension is remarkable .... The Mataro’s Asian spice character lingers as an aftertaste. Terrific now and has the potential to be even more special in the years to come. 95+ Excellent – Exceptional Wine Will Eat Itself
The result is a brooding, complex wine dripping in dark, aromatic, spicy fruit that sings of the earth from where it came, as well as the toil of those who tended the vines. The 2011 Indy over delivers on every front!!!!!
Learn MoreHere’s the second Barossa 2011 red that shows what uncommonly bright humans of exceptional sensory nous can do in the worst vintage of recent history. For once in my life, I can confidently quote a press release without rewriting the damn thing. This beauty seems to have taken some of the worst of the wettest vintage in history (I think that’s official now) and used it to become more French than Barossan. But you wouldn’t find a Frenchman doing this for $18. Philip White Indaily July 2012
Learn MoreExcellent vitality and drinkability. Blackberries, cranberries, sap and smoke. Has that ashen, meaty note so characteristic of cool vintages like 2002 and 2011. Has enough sweetness though to keep Barossa shiraz drinkers happy. Enough slurpy, smooth texture. Clovey, peppery, licoricey finish. Compact and complex. Great wine to hook into. Learn MoreHere’s proof that Barossa red wine specialist Kym Teusner, well, isn’t! He took me by surprise in the elegant restraint he’s captured here; a skilfully crafted wine of delicate and refreshing poise. Apple, pear, white nectarine and grapefruit flavours finish crisp and dry. 92 points Tyson Tselzer
Learn MoreLight but bright colour; how much the wine owes to winemaker Peter Schell's skills and how much to the (old) vines doesn't matter, for the wine has great vibrancy and energy to the red berry fruits of its grenache/cinsaut blend. 92 points James Halliday
