Made from estate-grown fruit in the White Hut district on the northeastern ranges of the Clare Valley. deep crimson-purple, it has a highly tactile palate with tannins making themselves felt right from the outset, but doing no more than giving the wine texture and a faintly savoury edge to the dry finish. 94 points James Halliday

The vibrant acid carries the juicy plummy fruit and bitter chocolate seamlessly through the palate and continues to roll on and on balanced by firm, but fine tannins. This wine is from probably our best vintage to date and will need a few months to settle down, but will age over the medium to long term and will drink well for at least the next decade.
