Bright, clear red-purple the scented and fragrant bouquet has a warm spice and pepper introduction to the fleshy red and black cherry fruit of the perfectly balanced medium-bodied palate; the quality of the wine comes through on the lingering finish and aftertaste. Drink whenever. 94 points James Halliday
Cracked pepper, cherry-plum, some mulberry and blackberry and earth. Maybe there’s a kiss of malty, toasty oak but it’s subtle and integrated. Good amount of both fruit flesh and tannin. It’s just a beaut drinking wine. 91 points Winefront.com.au
...The southern Rhone may not be my bag, but again I’d be jumping into this. Violets, peanuts, dark cherries, kirsch. Controlled. Tight. Needs some bottle age or a decent decant. Takes the more popular opposition in its class to task. Flavour and interest at a terrific price. Rated : 91 Points Winefront
Learn More... There's a consistency across the reds from the flagship Old Adam to the Tamblyn blend, and all show excellent regional character. The current vintage is up with the best of the Selkirks: vibrant, ripe redcurrant and dark plum flavours; well-integrated vanillin oak; fleshy, almost syrupy texture, before a lively, approachable finish. WOW, power and intensity from the west. From the area renowned for cabernet sauvignon, shiraz lives in the shadows, but should never be ignored. Earthy, tobacco and dark fruits give this wine a brooding intensity. Juicy blackberry and plum, coffee and dry, intensely gripping tannin add some real punch. Firm, youthful and very bold, this is attractive on many levels. This is worth finding. Value: Excellent Food: Roast beef Rating: 4/5 Tony Love
This not just a triumph for the tough 2011 vintage, it’s a wine of beauty, alluring internal harmony and inherent balance. I didn’t expect to like it much at all,
but I found it nothing less than compellingly, gloriously enticing.

Learn MoreMedium depth crimson in colour with purple hues. Delicious aromas of blue fruits, Satsuma plum and liquorice fills the nostrils with hints of Turkish delight and chocolate. Bright, juicy, sweet fruit flows onto the palate and is well balanced with briary spice and plenty of fine silky tannins which continue right through to the finish.
