The best vintage of Joshua ever, might I suggest? A pretty wine with its floral top notes, but also one of depth and exquisite balance. Raspberry, blackberry, baking spice and earthy bits – plenty to sink your teeth into here. It’s medium bodied with an uninterrupted flow of flavour, a smooth web of fine tannin and a very long finish. So satisfying. Textbook Barossa GSM blend stuff. 94+ points WIne front.com.au
Learn MoreWell, if a rosé is made by such Burgundy royalty as DRC’s Aubert de Villaine and Dujac’s Jacques Seysses; a bloke sort of has to try it, hey? this is based on old vines Cinsault, a variety not known for its power and complexities, to add fragrance and zip to their reds. In this, the variety’s characteristic rosés, seem to appear not only in the aromatics, but also in a radiant rose pink colour. This is so textured, long and fresh and it plays out with a tingling backbone and a nice drying, savoury note at the end. This is worth finding. Don’t know if I’ve seen a better rosé... Learn MorePale metallic copper flecked with pink/purple. The nose shows perfumed candy, raspberry, strawberry and cream with delicate citrus notes. The palate shows light red sweet fruits with clean, citrusy acidity. Soft, delicate mineral finish - as grape to glass as you can get. Perfect for Mediterranean and spicy cuisine. Drink now or up to 3 years.
Learn MoreDiscreet, finely aromatic nose with elegant, almost graceful fruit, cool notes, a hint of fresh herbs, subtle minerality, delicately juicy with a firm acid structure, elegant with a crisp bite, fresh and radiant, appealing, animated drinking.
Learn MoreWell integrated toasty/bacony oak. And a lemony tang through the finish to complete the job nicely. At first I couldn’t find the X-factor – and then, a couple of hours from opening, it really started to rumble. Time in the cellar should work wonders for this little beauty. Learn More..... Normally I'm a cynical man and a cynical taster, but I kept coming back to this. I couldn't not like it. I couldn't not like the wonderful energy and concentration of the style. I put it down, I picked it back up again. Superb, 'essence of black grapes' juice. 95 points
... finally a hint, like its been dusted with icing sugar. Its young, but its balanced, its already complex with a huge upside, and it has a very fine tannin edged structure. Wow, great stuff, intriguing and sophisticated, serious wine that is seriously under priced! Fine fine sensitive wine making on some superb quality fruit. We loved it, so will you! - The auswine panel
