There’s impressive poached pear and fresh lemon fruit presence here, even a touch of baked apple and nutmeg, pulling into a nicely honed tail of cool Adelaide Hills acidity from this single vineyard in Charleston. Deep straw colour, with a pale green hue. An intense combination of cashew, butter, honeycomb and stone fruit characters. Medium palate weight with a rich and creamy texture. Peach and nectarine fruit flavours are perfectly complimented by toasted nuts, honey and a persistent and flavoursome finish.

A darker and more savoury example of Grenache from the stable, with leather, black fruits, thyme and black olive; the palate delivers assertive acidity and fine tannins, and the finish is long and expansive. - 94 points James Halliday.

Well it’s become a bit of a star over the past six or seven years. Tannin tames with time though it still ripples and pulls throughout. Terrific length. Savoury to its back teeth – this is not a wine for fruit sluts – and impeccably well balanced. Indeed balance is arguably its key feature. Tip top I’d reckon.95 points Winefront
