Unoaked, and all the better for it, sulphur Free, and all the better for it. Bright summer red drinking of the highest style and quality!!
A super vibrant black/ purple colour in the glass heralds a lively dark forest fruit and black cherry nose, as well as a lushness and hints of liquorice and spice. The wine has a rich, textural and even palate tied together with beautifully structured tannins. This is a medium to full-bodied style of wine.
We should all drink more of these styles of wines, indeed, we should all drink more of THIS wine! - Gavin Trott
A red you can drink in summer, a rosé you can drink in winter. An all year round wine you can drink either chilled or at room temperature. It's sweet-fruited but essentially dry and when chilled it never feels hard - as of course a rose shouldn't. Woodspice, licorice, sweet red berries, fresh leather. It's not in the pale provencal style, that's for sure. But really, you have to try this. Yee-ha value. 92 points Winefront.com.au
...The southern Rhone may not be my bag, but again I’d be jumping into this. Violets, peanuts, dark cherries, kirsch. Controlled. Tight. Needs some bottle age or a decent decant. Takes the more popular opposition in its class to task. Flavour and interest at a terrific price. Rated : 91 Points Winefront
Learn More... Sweet cherries and raspberries with a hint of tart cranberry on the back palate. But it’s not all about fruit; dried oregano, earth and tea leaf add to the savoury profile that eventually defines the wine. It’s a spicy minx too. All that nimble energy leads to fine, slightly chewy tannin. Lots of evolution in the space of twenty-four hours – if you can make it last that long. Very Good – Excellent Wine Will Eat Itself
Learn MoreMade by the unflappable Javier Murua. Almost entirely tempranillo but co-fermented with a smidge of grenache. Sees a small portion of old French and American oak. Elegant yet characterful and then punchy through the finish. Has structure. Has a big dry finish. Licorice and cherry and twiggy sinewy almost-bitter notes. Chicory too. A grunty wine. Will be a handy drinking option through the cooler months. Like it. 90 points Winefront
Learn MoreSheer Burgundy in colour. Sweet musky florals of raspberry, white pepper spice and anise. The palate is plump, textured, medium bodied and carries sweet, red fruits, liquorice, and pepper through a finale of Grenache's warmth, finesse and silky tannins. Try this versatile wine on its own, 1 bottle at a time or with Pizza/Pasta. Drink now or up to 5 years. 14.5% Alcohol.

Bright deep crimson; dark and exotic on the bouquet, with liqueur soaked plums, clove and sage; the palate is warm and inviting, direct and expansive, showing the true class of grenache in McLaren Vale; moreover, the quality of the vintage shines through. Top gold Melbourne Wine Show '11.

... This may well be about as good as Barossa GSM gets? ... Serious length. And for all those serious bits, still just so irresistibly yum. You’re having your cake and eating it here. 95 points Winefront.com.au
The architecture is stunning. Cranberry accented acidity and ripe, graphite/mineral tannin. It moves from entry to exit without any interruption and the extension is remarkable .... The Mataro’s Asian spice character lingers as an aftertaste. Terrific now and has the potential to be even more special in the years to come. 95+ Excellent – Exceptional Wine Will Eat Itself
