Dark red to black colour. The nose shows raspberry, aniseed, tar, cola, vanilla cream, rosemary, sage and menthol. The palate has layers of liquered red fruits and complex, supple tannins. The sweeter fruits and glycerols seem to completely coat the tannins underneath. drink now or up to 10 years. 13.7% Alcohol

The architecture is stunning. Cranberry accented acidity and ripe, graphite/mineral tannin. It moves from entry to exit without any interruption and the extension is remarkable .... Made by the unflappable Javier Murua. Almost entirely tempranillo but co-fermented with a smidge of grenache. Sees a small portion of old French and American oak. Elegant yet characterful and then punchy through the finish. Has structure. Has a big dry finish. Licorice and cherry and twiggy sinewy almost-bitter notes. Chicory too. A grunty wine.
