A bright brick red colour with crimson highlights. The palate is complex and alluring, combining dark berry fruit and blueberries with underbrush and hints of chocolate and toasted coffee. The palate is rich and fruit driven with Barbera’s vibrant berry flavours matched by the savoury tobacco leaf and fine tannins of Nebbiolo.
A 'mini' Barolo, for this price? Unbelievable ... yet true. Stock up, I have! Gavin Trott
Learn MoreA new addition to the range, which I think replaces the old non-estate, estate wines which will now all be called Parterre. Simple. Wheat, honey almond, melon and grapefruit. It's tight and zesty with lime and grapefruit but has apple and pear richness adding softness (and flavour). It's energetic and long with a high drinkability factor. Delivers 100% at the price. Flavour with finesse. Loved it. Rated : 92 Points Winefront.com.au
Learn MoreHere’s the second Barossa 2011 red that shows what uncommonly bright humans of exceptional sensory nous can do in the worst vintage of recent history. For once in my life, I can confidently quote a press release without rewriting the damn thing. This beauty seems to have taken some of the worst of the wettest vintage in history (I think that’s official now) and used it to become more French than Barossan. But you wouldn’t find a Frenchman doing this for $18. Philip White Indaily July 2012
