Lovely harmony. This starts with an explosive nose of toasted brioche, mineral and honey, adding a citrus element on the palate, all in a firm, full-bodied package. Lingering aftertaste of grilled hazelnuts. Learn More

Well, if a rosé is made by such Burgundy royalty as DRC’s Aubert de Villaine and Dujac’s Jacques Seysses; a bloke sort of has to try it, hey? this is based on old vines Cinsault, a variety not known for its power and complexities, to add fragrance and zip to their reds. In this, the variety’s characteristic rosés, seem to appear not only in the aromatics, but also in a radiant rose pink colour. This is so textured, long and fresh and it plays out with a tingling backbone and a nice drying, savoury note at the end. This is worth finding. Don’t know if I’ve seen a better rosé... 1. Dog Point Pinot Noir 2010

    Dog Point Pinot Noir 2010

Silky texture through the mouth – a wash of medium weight, understated sweetness of fruit and prickly, piquant oak. It’s a structured and built wine but harmonious and pleasing – very easy to drink but reveals its hand as a classy wine with seamlessness and compaction. Finishes with a moreish, refreshing lick of acidity. Classy. Rated : 93 Points WInefront.com.au

  2. Riposte The Sabre Pinot Noir 2009

Riposte The Sabre Pinot Noir 2009

    Regular Price: $28.50

    Special Price: $26.99

SA Consumers Wine of the Year (Hyatt/Advertiser) 'The Sabre' Pinot Noir is full and rich, striking out with deep berry notes and lunges of spice that combined with thrusts of toasty vanilla oak that elegantly assault the nose. Thick slices of dark cherry and blueberry parry with kirsch and floral notes on the palate leading to an opulent finish of soft velvety tannins. Delicious to drink young but five years in the dungeon will reward your patience.

  3. Jansz Premium Cuvee NV

    Jansz Premium Cuvee NV
    $25.99
The cuvee is chardonnay dominant, backed up with pinot noir. Full yellow gold, with some cashew aromas, followed by an intense mix of stone fruit, citrus and strawberries set in a creamy mid palate, the citrus toned finish clean and fresh. 94 points James Halliday Top 100 Learn More

..Intriguing. Blood and blood plum, rose oil, hazelnut, bitter herb and chocolate. It’s dry and chewy with a fair whack of chalky tannin but has the fruit and density to pull it off with style. Good to drink, interesting to taste…and ripping value to boot. Love it. Drink : 2010 - 2014 90 points Learn More
