Deep crimson red of good intensity and vibrant hue. Intense berry fruits, cassis and chocolate mint character notes with background cedar like oak. Medium bodied, this wine shows a vibrant and lively fruit driven palate with a fleshy middle and soft mature ripe tannin.
Learn MoreThe wine displays fresh green tinges to a very pale straw colour. Typical cool-climate Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon aromas of lively tropical fruits and fresh herbaceous grassy characters make up an intense bouquet. The palate is fresh and lively with classic Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon characters and a fine structure that are an indication both of quality of the vintage and of the use of only free-run juice.
Learn MoreEven served with a decent chill it’s still revving to get its charms across – within a strict, structured framework. Roses, strawberries, tobacco, licorice. Touch of alcohol warmth. Opens up nicely as it rests in the glass. Excellent buying option. Rated : 91 Points Winefront.com.au
Learn MoreThe wine displays fresh green tinges on a pale straw colour. The nose exhibits aromas of fresh cut pear and honey dew melon with some zesty citric notes. There are no overt woody or buttery aromas with the primary fruit characters expressed with clarity and definition. The palate is fresh and lively with clean crisp acidity complementing the vibrant fruity flavours. The palate has very good extension and ends clean and bright. This is a restrained style of Australian Chardonnay and highlights how far we have come with this style of wine over the last decade.

The oak is background cedar which will reduce further as the fruits emerge with some bottle age. This vineyard consistently produces intense fleshy and full mid palate Cabernet with massive fruit weight with dark cherry and blackcurrant flavours. At the time of writing the wine is very youthful and tight but it still has ample fruit sweetness that will only become more accessible as the wine matures in bottle. This is a big full wine with ample flavour and concentration in the classic Margaret River tradition.
Learn MoreA little bottle of deliciousness. I don't score, but if I did, I'd give this 96/100. Rating: 96 Points; Winsor Dobbin, Wine of the Week, January 2013.
... an extremely luscious brandy snap, cumquat, nut and tea palate. This is seriously old material; 375 ml; Rating: 94 Points; James Halliday
... it's refreshingly vibrant, balanced and without any hint of cloying sweetness. Rating: 96 Points; Tyson Stelzer; Wine Taste
One of the Barossa's greatest gifts is its unique collection of fortified port and sherry style wines. This 30 year old (average age) pedro ximinez is sensational, essentially an amontillado sherry with emerging nutty, caramel, apricot and raisin characters, bergamot and racy acidity remaining. Rating 5 stars Tony Love
