Excellent vitality and drinkability. Blackberries, cranberries, sap and smoke. Has that ashen, meaty note so characteristic of cool vintages like 2002 and 2011. Has enough sweetness though to keep Barossa shiraz drinkers happy. Enough slurpy, smooth texture. Clovey, peppery, licoricey finish. Compact and complex. Great wine to hook into. Rated : 91 Points Winefront.com.a
Learn More... This may well be about as good as Barossa GSM gets? ... Serious length. And for all those serious bits, still just so irresistibly yum. You’re having your cake and eating it here. 95 points Winefront.com.au
The architecture is stunning. Cranberry accented acidity and ripe, graphite/mineral tannin. It moves from entry to exit without any interruption and the extension is remarkable .... The Mataro’s Asian spice character lingers as an aftertaste. Terrific now and has the potential to be even more special in the years to come. 95+ Excellent – Exceptional Wine Will Eat Itself
Savoury spice, earth aromas turning to liquorice and plum jam; richly fruit-sweet, fleshy, concentrated. Marvellous for this price and worth cellaring. 14.5 per cent alcohol. 93/100. Huon Hooke
... savoury Moroccan spices and fresh earth, plus traces of licorice and plum jam. Soft and fruit-sweet in the mouth, it has an abundant fleshy texture, good concentration of sweet fruit, and a firm tannin grip to finish. A serious red for hearty food, and for cellaring. Gourmet Traveller Wine

Bright colour and bright personality, combining black and red fruits with a splash of sage and cedar; the palate is medium-bodied, sweet-fruited and ample, providing simple pleasure in spades. 90 points James Halliday
Learn MoreFull purple-crimson; if depth and power of flavour are the sole criterion of quality, this shiraz would get 100 points; the flavours, too, are very good indeed, the only point of criticism is the somewhat thick texture. Will cellar very well, and is an outrageously priced bargain. 94 points James Halliday

Full crimson-purple; co-fermented with a small percentage of viognier, and matured in (roughly) one-third each new, one-year-old and two-year-old high quality French oak. It is a style I have always liked, its supple mouthfeel, generous black fruits and soft tannins coming together with the oak in a harmonious finish. 95 points James Halliday
Learn MoreThe stunning Ébano Crianza is made from 100% Tempranillo, known locally as Tinto del Pais, with an average vine age of 20 years. It has a vibrant purple colour with intense fruit notes of ripe cherries, mulberries and raspberries. The wood is well integrated and keeps alive the earlier fruit as well as adding toasty aromas. Ébano 6 is made from 100% Tempranillo and spends 4 months in French oak. Great fruity structure, powerful finish.
Learn MoreThe wine displays fresh green tinges on a pale straw colour. The nose exhibits aromas of fresh cut pear and honey dew melon with some zesty citric notes. There are no overt woody or buttery aromas with the primary fruit characters expressed with clarity and definition. The palate is fresh and lively with clean crisp acidity complementing the vibrant fruity flavours. The palate has very good extension and ends clean and bright. This is a restrained style of Australian Chardonnay and highlights how far we have come with this style of wine over the last decade.
